ESTABLISHMENT

Vietnam Innovation Network in Korea, abbreviated as VINK, was established in July 2021, under the auspices of the Vietnam National Innovation Center (NIC), Ministry of Planning and Investment of Vietnam, Embassy of Vietnam in Korea, Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam, and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam.

VINK is licensed by the Korean government to operate as a non-profit organization.

Members of VINK include Vietnamese scientists, experts, entrepreneurs, and investors living and working in Korea to promote cooperation between the two countries based on the exchange of innovation.

Dr. Nguyen Quang Phuoc – Chairman of the VINK – delivered a speech on the vision, mission, and operational plan of the network at the establishment ceremony attended by the leaders of the Ministry of Planning and Investment ò Vietnam, the Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam, the Vietnamese Ambassador to Korea, Vietnam National Innovation Center, and representatives from the Vietnam Innovation Networks in Japan, Australia, and Germany.

ECOSYSTEM

VINK is a member of the Vietnam Innovation Network (VIN), which was established on August 19th, 2018 under the direction of Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, along with the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Ministry of Education and Training. Under the leadership of Vietnam National Innovation Center and the Ministry of Planning and Investment, VIN has established member networks in Germany, Japan, Australia, Korea, the European Union, Taiwan, and the United States, with the aim of connecting top Vietnamese scientific and technological experts around the world with practical needs at home country – Vietnam – to effectively attract and utilize intellectual resources for the country’s economic and social development in implementing the 4.0 strategy.
